My name is Olha (pronounced Ola, Olya, or Olha).
I am an art therapist and counsellor based in Richmond, BC.
My practice grew out of my own experiences with major life changes, relocation, and career transitions.
I know firsthand how easy it is to lose touch with yourself when facing high pressure or major life shifts. In my sessions, I combine a structured approach with creative tools to help you slow down, process difficult emotions, and find your footing again.

In addition to my foundational credentials, I am deeply committed to continuous learning. I regularly participate in advanced training, professional supervision, and specialized courses to bring the most current, compassionate, and effective practices to my work with you.

My path into art therapy grew gradually through over a decade of work with people, first through coaching, and later through counselling and psychology.
Before entering the field of psychology, I studied mathematics and finance and spent part of my professional life in corporate environments. I understand places where clarity, responsibility, and performance matter, as well as the pressure they can place on a person's inner world.
I was born and raised in Ukraine and spent most of my adult life in Kyiv before moving to Canada in 2019. In Kyiv, I studied psychology and began my practice working with adults, teenagers, and families, supporting people through life transitions, relationship difficulties, questions of identity, and emotional challenges.
In Canada, I continued my path through art therapy training at the Vancouver Art Therapy Institute. Over time, my approach has come to bring together structure and creativity, clarity and intuition, practical support and space for reflection.
My own experiences of immigration, motherhood, and the evolving stages of long-term relationships help me understand the complex nuances of belonging, connection, and change. These personal and family experiences shape how I support others.
Outside my practice, I find grounding in nature, walking, quiet observation, and creating symbolic handmade dolls connected to stories, archetypes, and inner experience.

“Life, even in its messiness, holds beauty, meaning, and hope.
I value your uniqueness and your individual process of becoming.
I am here to hold space for your pain and walk alongside you as you find your way.”
I support clients navigating major life changes such as relocation, career shifts, motherhood, an empty nest, or personal reinvention, when a familiar sense of self is shifting and a new one is still taking shape.
I work with parents, as well as adult children, exploring boundaries, attachment, and identity beyond familiar roles, especially during periods of change.
I support individuals and couples in exploring relationship patterns, including communication, emotional distance, conflict, and the search for closeness and understanding.
I use art therapy to support the experience of migration, including the complexity of belonging between cultures, the sense of loss, and the process of building a life in a new place.
The creative process can hold what is difficult to express in words. I support clients navigating grief in its many forms, including the loss of a loved one, a place, a role, or a previous sense of self.
I work with individuals and families living with ADHD, autism, or chronic health conditions. I also support those who identify as highly sensitive or experience emotional depth and overwhelm.
For those exploring questions of faith or belief, therapy can offer space for reflection, integration, and the development of personal meaning.

If something in these words resonates with you, you are very welcome to reach out.
I offer a complimentary 20-minute initial consultation, where we can meet, talk about what brings you to therapy, and see if we are a good fit.
There is no obligation — just an opportunity to connect.
With gratitude, I acknowledge that my work in Richmond and Vancouver takes place on the traditional and unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations. I honour their history and living presence today.
